I've thought my springs were to stiff for me as well, but wasn't so sure I wanted to alter the way the bike handled.

Until I cranked it up getting on the highway, and hit an expansion bump hard on the gas at ~90, At which point I realized just how good the suspension on the bike really was, and knew I just didn't ride it hard enough for the stock springs.....
