Back in the day I used to work for Digital as a warranty repair tech for the state of Florida. We received an inkjet printer in for service from the same person three times; he complained that it would just stop working. Each time, I cleaned so much nicotine from outside and inside the thing; I'd have a trashcan full of filthy brown alcohol pads when I was through. The nicotine covered the clear plastic guide strip that the print head assembly used for tracking its position and also made the nylon gears so sticky they could barely move. I couldn't believe how it could be that bad after 3 months. I envisioned the guy smoking a pack of cigs at once, blowing smoke directly on and into the printer. I want to vomit right now just thinking about it - I can actually smell the smoke, thinking back.
