most of the time the tv's that are capable of 120 Hz don't even get out of the 60 Hz range. That just means they are capable of getting there. However, its like the difference between hauling your 23' boat with an S-10 or a Dodge Ram 2500. It may get it to move but the s-10 will blow the engine on a hill or pulling it out of the water. Where as the Ram will pull it up a hill, a mountain, and pull it half submerged and full of water up the ramp. All about having the power so you don't stress the system. Mostly
