If a generic CEO were in charge of Apple, they never would have invested as much into their design department, or given them as much control. Apple has led the way in forcing the business world to realize that people want products that actually look good as well as feel good in the hand. We are seeing other industries follow suit (cars, appliances, furniture, etc.). The fact that Jobs was such a dick about control/sharing/iTunes etc is a separate issue IMO. |
