The first part of winter kicks ass. Fresh snow, kinda nice out, the air is nice and crisp and smells fresh and clean. If you're lucky, you can hit up a mountain for some fresh powder for skiing/snowboarding.
The the three weeks later when the novelty wears off, the snow that's been plowed to the side of the road is grey from the dirt and sludge mixed in. You can't feel your fuckin toes cuz you stepped in some of that sludge mess that kinda wanted to melt, but kinda didn't, but was wet enough to soak right through your shoes/boots and get right to your socks. Now your feet are numb but still fucking cold, so when you take off your shoes and socks and try to warm them up they get that stinging pain that takes a while to go away. It's fucking dark outside and miserable grey and there is light but no sun. And then it's so cold that it hurts to breathe, so your nasal cavities get all dried out and it gets even more painful, so you end up wrapping your face up so you can breathe, but the minute you do, all that frozen snot decides to pour outta your face. Now you have a scarf that's soaked in snot and half melted snow and your face feels all disgusting. What's the point of winter again? Last edited by Corey; 11-06-2008 at 10:12 PM..
