If you truly lived and worked on a ranch, then you wouldn't find this as news, or shocking. There are many things that happen on a ranch/farm that the rest of the world WOULD find both news AND shocking. Life happens, and death happens... it's trying to find that balance that is the tricky part.

I'm a big fan of animal abortions... breakfast would be missing something without them.

They do it all the time, but it just depends on how far along they are at some places. Other places it increases the price.
Sounds like if it has cancer it may just be best to be put down. Isn't 14 years a long time for a little dog to live anyways? Poor dog. Knocked up and having cancer. And here I thought I was uncomfortable. |

How odd, an animal abortion costs almost as much as one for us.

Its just one of those things. People dont get upset, because its "just an animal". Azzoom is right, if the general public knew HALF what goes on at a real ranching operation, etc, they would be appalled, while those used to it accept it as what it is.
For Z, smaller dogs tend to live much longer, at 14 a chihuhua may still havea few years, but yeah, shes getting to the end there. As for the owners not spaying her and allowing her to get pregnant, they SHOULD be punched in the face, and rest assured, any self respecting vet WILL give them an earful on the matter. Its more expensive and vastly more dangerous to perform any type of surgery on an animal when its in heat or pregnant, and almost always fatal if combinations like cancer and old age are involved. Assholes. They should have their asses kicked. |

Most vets have had more medical training than your family doctor.

Big fucking surprise here... people aren't responsible enough to wrap their rocket or keep their knees together, who really though they could be responsible enough to keep their pet from fucking?
