Thanks Apoc. It was a few threads down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-HnSu4j4ig
Caleb will probably do well against some of the kids at Barber, but some of those kids (and men) are on a different planet in terms of track time, ability...and $. I told him that this year is strictly a learning year and really don't care where he finishes. All I care is that he works hard and keeps improving. I know once puberty hits, testosterone will take over and he's going to be a different kid. Right now, I'm just trying to lay the groundwork and build the knowledge base so he'll remain safe and consistent. Next year we'll start worrying about getting up front and fighting those fast boys. This past weekend was one of those big stepping stones that he finally took. He finally "clicked" with passing. For the longest time he'd wait it out behind a slower, and even MUCH slower rider. Not this weekend, he was handing out some major stuffing. |

On the mini...many times. On the RS, just once. Not his fault either. The brake caliper holder on the fork snapped, causing the front end to lock up and send him over the handlebars.
