Well from what I can gather, WSBK is for those who retired from GP... Since Ben seems to be on the up n up, why not compete at the highest level? LOL

GP can make or break him. Sadly, I often feel it's more the bike and team in GP, where in all the other race orgs the rider is the larger factor. We'll see next year though. I expect nothing of him in Valencia. He's shown the world that he's "the man" already though! CONGRATS BEN!!!!

they used to say that about a certain Honda rider, who promplty jumped ship to an uncompetitive Yamaha and won the championship his first year on it.

I watched the races last night. It had to kill Haga being beaten by a Yamaha since he switched camps. It also had to be tough racing while fighting the flu...he finished strong though.

Karl...we're talking about a demi god there. Rossi also has the ability to develop a motorized bar stool, let alone the Yamaha. That bike is the bike it is because of him. No doubt Spies has some skill too after watching him in the AMA and WSBK. However, only the rarest few will rise to the front in GP. Getting in front of Rossi, Jorge, Stoner, or Pedrobot will be an undertaking like no other! The cards are stacked strongly against him. If any American can do it though, it's Spies!
