I picked mine up on Friday and like it a lot better than my POS Storm--sorry Storm folks. I think the iPhone does a few things better e.g. the built in iPod and the HTML email is a little cleaner. However, I like Verizon better than AT&T and this phone does a few things better than the iPhone, plus the web browser is killer. Overall this phone is really great and I like the physical keyboard and the screen is big, bright and amazing.
How is everyone's battery life? I think it is OK, but not great. I haven't installed many apps or widgets. What has everyone else installed? Any cool accessories? One really cool app for both Mac and Windows users is from Sailing software. They make an awesome cellphone sync utility that can use for free or upgrade with pay. It also syncs iTunes music (Mac and Windows), your photo library and videos. Really helpful for the device. The only thing you need to make sure you do is enable USB mass storage in the notification area when the phone asks or it won't work. Check it out. http://www.salling.com/

There is no verizon lock down on any of the software and it is just the plain android front end, no moto-blur or anything. There is also the HTC Eris for verizon with Android, but it is a little lower end and no physical keyboard. HTC makes nice hardware and if you like there touch phones this one looked really cool. I think the Verizon / Google deal has kind of forced Verizon to respect the open source spirit of the device.
