Steve. You do make a point. I think the reason its expierenced riders buying abs bikes is because they are usually the higher end bikes. New riders don't buy or can't afford those bikes. Ie: bikes like my ultra. The abs was an $700 option. But I figure that is cheap compared to a ins deductable. Personally I love it.

Plus most single vehicle accidents are on super sports, a category that did not even offer ABS until recently(CBR only).
The only beginner friendly bikes that offered it were the SV650 and Bandit 650, but it was a costly option($1000 IIRC) which is 1/6th the cost of the bike to begin with.
