nother deer season in the bag
didn't really have the bug for hunting like i normally do this year. i went out a few days anyway and wound up bagging a little doe today. nothing special but we have to bag a doe to get our buck tag. next year i can actually hunt real deer.
no pics, soory, already dropped her off at the chop shop |

I had a month of bow season and a few weeks of blackpowder. After that I slow down on hunting once regular season comes in.
I went out this evening in my tree stand and had the pleasure of some of the lazy locals running their damn dogs come running along to spook everything. 30 minutes later the the local idiot comes driving down the road off the field and down in to the woods 15 yards from me in my tree stand. I really hate Virginia sometimes.. |

I took a small button buck last Friday. Already got the meat back from the processor. Going out tomorrow afternoon to see if I can find a big buck. If not, then I'll have to wait till muzzleloader season comes in 2 weeks from now.

Never been a deer hunter. Went a few years when I was younger, but never killed a big buck. It is just more fun to me to sit in a goose pit blind with 3 friends with a propane heater we cook bacon and eggs on. And I can kill 3 geese and 6 ducks per day.

It's in the 30's here this morning, perfectly clear weather too... I'd so rather be freezing my ass off in a deer stand than thinking about having to get some sleep before work this evening

our muzzle loader was last weekend and I was slammed so couldn't get out. Still have bow season but I didn't even get a bow license this year as I was too busy for the most part.
I think for the most part I'm done until next year. hopefully things will all be in better order so i can and want to go out more. |
