It appears the public outrcy over the escalated charges against this guy has resulted in some backpedaling....he's now out of jail. Newell has been released on his own recognizance....dependant upon him reporting directly to the VA Hospita and that he report back to face the charges.

Meanwhile, the WBC crowd plans to return to Mulvane to mount a protest outside the police station and the American Legion post. (Birthplace of the Patriot Guard.)

Is it wrong to admit that I wish Newell would have "solved" the WBC problem when he had the chance?
