When I had my Bandit 600, I had case gaurds put on. They were the same color as the engine, and didn't stick out as much as the kawasaki guards do. One of the engine bolts is kinda tricky, so I had a shop put them on for me. They did a good job since I'm vertically challenged, the bike's top heavy, and I was a newbie.

I think I ordered them through Bike Bandit, but it's been so long ago, I really don't remember.
