That's the truth but it has nothing to do with whether I call it swine flu or H1N1.

I was just curious because it's always reported as H1N1 up here and hardly ever do they say Swine Flu.

We also are trying to get the immuno compromised people in as well between the diabetics and HIV pts. Plus our hospital does a lot of kidney transplants so theyre all prolly going to get vaccinated last I heard.

Wierd. Health Canada says the elderly and young are not at risk, just the young adults to 30 somethings.

Not quite. Elderly and young are considered already immunosuppressed. That's why they're "at risk" for any flu (swine or H1N1 included).

Both my daughters will be getting shots on Monday. There have been three verified H1N1 cases in my eldest's marching band as of yesterday... it might already be too late. We get flu shots every year. So far, no flu [knock on wood]. H1N1 vac. was recommended by my doc and the girls' doc.

For once I'm not being a dick, but you do realize it's "just" the flu right? Just a different strain. Not guaranteed death. Same symptoms as the regular flu..

Correct me if I'm wrong Tom..

We've had a lot of communication about this at work.

Flu vaccines have never been designed to prevent the flu completely but rather lessen the symptoms.

I think you're making a smart choice Azoomm!

Personally I'm not getting vaccinated for the flu or H1N1.

No flu shot, no swine flu shot. Never have, never will.

we do here as well for the most part. "Swine Flu" sneaks back in every once in a while.
