Since have a family, I would have to stop riding if I lost health insurance.
However, if I'm in a situation where I do not have health insurance then riding time is the least of my concerns. |

I just lost my health insurance this month. Granted I don't do anything crazy on the bike anyway and really haven't been riding much since I have been neck deep in school work, it does kind of worry me to ride without coverage. All it takes is one accident to send me to the hospital for pins and rods and I will be in medical debt for the rest of my life.
Of course now that I have a lighter courseload and have the time to ride, I don't have medical coverage. |

My lowside/shattered Collarbone has run up almost 1500 out of pocket with my Blue Cross Ins. Without it it would be closer to 8000...

I thought most schools offer HI to full time students. Perhaps she is part time?

I think it offers crap insurance. I have to look and compare some plans. I think its a lot cheaper here to get coverage then it is in NYC. At this point, all I really need is something to cover emergency room visits as regular doc visits I can pay out of pocket for the occasional ailment.
I have heard that if and when I do start the nursing program they do require medical coverage though, so if I decide to go without, it would only be for a few months. Which of course is when its the best time to ride here. |
