For those that don't know, Russell's are Bill Mayer Saddles. The original Bill Mayer Saddles. They own the copyright to his original design and the other Mayers don't make the original ones that made them well known. So when people say get a Bill Mayer, these are the original Bill Mayer saddles.

All in all, I still prefer the original design for long distance, even though the seats Rick builds aren't quite as fugly. JC

Bill, (Rocky) will make whatever the hell you want, using your stock seat pan.

Will need to see if they are as comfy as my ultra's stock seat... I doubt it though.

Plus, it's a custom seat. It's shape is specifically for me and the way I sit on the bike. You have to give them a lot of info to get it made the way you want it to be.

I've had two russell day longs (FJR1300 and ZZR1200) THey were both huge improvements for long rides. Moving around on the seat during spirited rides is not much of an option though.
If you are tippy toed at traffic lights, these seats will not help your cause. |

Yeah, but I also want this bike. I don't see taking a goldwing or ultra on a forest service road or doing some corner carving when I get at the end of that long ride.
