I go with bike because I won't even date anyone that even asks me to choose. In my experience, often women seem to ask men to give up hobies strictly to test them and see if they'll do it...I don't like to be played with in that manner.

This came close to reality when a good friend of mine crashed on one of our mountain rides and broke his back in 4 places. However, she knows as well as I do that I'd be miserable if I couldn't ride (read: we both would be in short time), so she'd never follow through with a true ultimatum.
I got married to enjoy life with someone, not be controlled or have someone change me. If the latter were an issue, one or both of us chose poorly. Edit for clarity: Any time someone has given me an ultimatum, I've gone with the side that didn't put me in that situation. My bike would never give me an ultimatum, so... |

I don't have a woman. But if I did she would be the type of woman who would have her own motorcycle so the issue wouldn't come up!

Since only about one in ten riders is a woman (not all of whom are into guys), it's a little tougher for us guys to work that angle

I choose Tater's Whore of an Ex...LOL.
My woman knows me. She knows a happy Chris is a great person to be married to and if I can make myself happy on a bike, then WE need a bike. After my wreck I talked about quiting for good, she called me a pussy. Told her I was selling my bikes to buy a car, she called me crazy and told me I'd be miserable within 2 weeks. She knows me!

All other things being equal, it certainly couldn't hurt.
