I dunno....... IMO a naked bike should be more different from its full-faired cousin. Otherwise anyone could replicate it by removing their lower fairings and throwing some handlebars on.

To market for the masses, you are correct. But like Ducati did with their Streetfighter... they can make it different without completely taking away from the SS roots... That's what I think the problem with most naked bikes is... they are 'cousins' instead of 'siblings'...

What that bike says to me is:

"I spent 16 grand on a bimmer and I wadded it up riding like an asshole. Since I didn't have insurance on it and I'm still making payments I decided to put it back on the road but when I saw the price of bodywork......"
