Yeah, there is no way I'd get outside the tower for the free climbing. Normal heights dont bother me but that's insane!

At 1700ft? They would have a few seconds to pull. New River Gorge is only 876ft and they drop for a bit before they pull chute on bridge day.

I'd have to say a big negative on that one. I'm not scared of heights, but that's mainly because I've never been up that high. Top ot the T-tail on a C-5 is far enough for me.

That's what I was thinking. A compact, "quick chute" would at least give you a chance of survival. You'd still hit the deck like jumping off a 3+ story building though...
