It might have been back on twf or maybe a link but somebody was riding in CO and was struck by lightning right in his head. Burn marks on the helmet, 2nd or 3rd degree burns on his neck from his religious medal/chain and it knocked him out so he crashed and broke his collar bone.

matter of fact I took my chances today, so theres a 60% shot of rain fo rme going home tonight.
This is my general thought, but as there is construction for about 10 miles and crappy pavement after that for another 5 from building up the road around Devils Lake, I tend to stick to the nice days to ride for now.

Thats fair, if they have areas of road torn up AND its going to rain AND its at night I may either take the car or a different route home. Its getting to that time where they are rippin gup sections of road and repaving, fortunatley the winter wasnt bad so the roads didnt get beat up as much as past years.

I had fun yesterday. Severe thunderstorm warnings all day, but it was sunny. Then when I got to class it all started.

What you can see:

My bike
Light rain
Mostly empty summer class parking lot

What you can't see:

My gloves that I forgot on the seat (doh)
The storm that was raging when I was in class
The flooded roads
The pretty flashes of light, or lightning, in the background
The girl that just walked past me smirking
My dog cowering in the hall back at home

It was actually a fun ride considering that just a few weeks ago I was stuck in a torrential down pour, and it wasn't hot! (I really do hate southern summers) It also helps that I finally took the time to rip the damn chin skirt thing off my helmet. That thing never worked very well; it just fogged up my visor all the time.

Yeah, 50% chance of rain today by noon. With the road construction going on, that road SUCKS when wet (even just the water trucks make it slick) so yeah, in the truck today.
