My husband had one, eventually sold it and has an 07.
His biggest complaint was the way it shifted. He had a bloody toe after a day or so at the track. And it's not as easy to ride as his 07, street or track. I like the 04 just because it was lighter, for me but it wasn't my bike. If you can pick it up for a good deal, go for it. I don't think you will be disappointed. |

Sharp handling and good power. Not as refined as the 2008, but IMO the bike turns in almost as well. Actually a good bike if your going to ride hard.

i've ridden one along with every other "newish" japanese 1000 and it was the only one that I thought pulled as hard as my bike, not sure which pulled harder , VERY STRONG motor, didnt really get to test it out in the twisties, but it felt fairly flickable, I LOVE my GSXR but i would for sure consider an 04 05 ZX 10!!
here's a very good read for ya http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/9/689/...II-Street.aspx and http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/9/700/...et-Specs..aspx
