It is all mission specific to me. I prefer engines with character regardless of cylinder arrangement. Hairdryer type, electric, sewing machine like engines are boring...If my genie in a bottle were asking to fulfill my wish I would want a Big cc V4. Perhaps of Aprilia design...

I've had I4's in the past and parallel twins as well as my current V twin and the V twin is my favorite.

Been a big triple fan for a while. Nice torque and midrange and it still has that top end kick.

I've had a several twins and 4 V4s. I still think the V4 is it.
Superhawk Buell S1 BMW R1150 GS (ok, maybe that doesn't count) Aprilia Caponord 2 VFRs 2 Vmaxs. Maybe it's the bikes I've owned that sway me? |
