Looks like he is going to get the short end of the stick!

I have a Suomy Spec1R (very very similar in fit to the Vandel line)...Fits me the best of any lid and is quite light, but quite noisy. Just wear earplugs for the air noise.

If I'm not mistaken the Spec 1R is a higher line than the Vandal, but either way I think you are getting a nice helmet. I would take it!

Yeah, it's an upgrade, but the shield is somewhat of a pain in the ass to change on those.

Lid came in while I was out of town. Paint / graphics are very nice. Just trying it on he says it is a bit tight. Wil post a pic or two later.

Mine was pretty tight when I first got it, but it has loosened up quite a bit since then. Had i gone a size bigger, it would be too big now.
If he can deal with it for a while, leave the size alone. Just my 2 cents.

Tight how? If it's the cheek pads, no biggy. That's good. Helmet will stay put, and they eventually loosen up a bit. If it's in the forehead, have him wear it around the house to be sure he doesn't get a headache. If so, he may need a larger size.
