i took care of an ex-gf's french bulldog for a few months - i loved that thing. i should have taken it with me when i moved, since she never took great care of it. anywho, they're awesome dogs, with a few caveats - they fart like their lives depend on it. and it reeks. they also snore so loud your bed will vibrate (maybe a plus if you like vibrating beds). if you can deal with those 2 things, you'll prob be very happy with them. they're a ton of fun, playful, friendly, and have kind of a funny personality to them.

oh, as mentioned, extremely expensive (as in, several thousand dollars from a reputable breeder), but if you're rescuing, you'll save a big chunk.

here are a few pics of Marley, the dog i took care of. while i couldn't give a rat's ass about the girl i still wonder what happened to him...

Last night I was at a pet store and I got the chance to meet a Frenchie.

And now, well I need more information before I decide on this breed.

He was certainly cute but very hyper. I wonder if he was just hyper because of where he was at or if he's always like that. And the build of him wasn't quite what I want. He was too muscley.

Now I'm thinking miniature schnauzer as another possibility. Hmmm. We'll see.

(z again)
I had a min sch. growing up. Was by far my fave dog of all time. Only problem is frequent grooming.

Well I had originally wanted a min. schnauzer but then got side tracked with the frenchie.

What I really want is a West Highland Terrier but I just don't think that breed will fit with my lifestyle. The other thing is that I want a dog that will be good track side. I'm afraid if I got a dog like a Westie or a Shih Tzu the guys would be punting my dog when I was out for sessions.
