That's true. It's a sucky road, it's terrible. People on it are dangerous. Only idiots would think about going there. No one should ever ride or drive it. I advise no one to come to this god awful place.

Welcome to one of the best/worst times of you life!!!

Speaking as a mom who knows......get her a big ugly sedan with lots of sheet metal, antilock brakes and airbags and put her on her own insurance!
My hubby does insurance and if you don't want her mistake to follow you around as higher rates get your teens their own policy. It costs more up front but saves you in the long run.

That is a cute little car but it won't stand a chance against a SUV even with a role bar. Track is the safest place to learn but when you are against bigger vehicles little cars just don't hold up well. Teens make judgment errors and you want lots of car around them when it catches up with them.

I know, my daughter wrecked 2. She rode motorcycles/snowmobiles for years and still wrecked 2 cars. She is 21 and I still worry that I am going to get that call.

Good luck

It's a 2006 six-speed. My husband has already taken it spinning off the track roll bar is installed.

So, why am I still nervous?

Good. Nothing like flipping a convertible and becoming a flap jack.

This.

Mine has wrecked 2 already, and that is now why I am currently in hell, dealing with wheel bearings on a FWD '91 Celica.

I, dad (aka: Idiot), have gotten her yet a 3rd car now, as I know better than to have her on my policy. It's cheaper to replace cars. Trust me.

First car was a Jeep Cherokee ($1400). This beefy little truck served her well, when she rolled it in a snowstorm, after spinning out, and hitting a snow berm.

Second car was a 4000 lb. Mustang GT ($2000). This heavy ass car served her well when she got T-boned at a blind intersection (and during the balance of winter, taught her how to control a skid, because there is NOTHING more tail-happy than a 5.0 'Stang).

Current/next victim car is a '91 Celica convertible ($1000 - "mechanic's special"...just add wheel bearings!).

This one at least has an airbag. Let's hope she doesn't test this feature! (but at least I've anticipated the correct "crumple zone" features of her cars so far...).

I guess anything is better than having this shit on my insurance, however...even laying on my back for 3 days, with an oxy/acetylene torch, hot wrenching stuck fucking parts off a 20 year old Toyota...

Kids.

All I can say is, she better fucking take good care of me when I'm old!

Damn, I had to buy my own car. A $500 rust bucket vw rabbit that leaked when it rained. Eventually the brake lines rusted through somewhere under the body and my sister wrecked it trying to stop at an intersection.

Wow, remembering that, I fully endorse the miata. Looks to be in good shape.

I started in a '83 Old cutlass ciera with a 4.3L diesel and no reverse in the auto trans.
0-60 in 3 miles flat, and 25 mpg no matter what you did. Rear window leaked when it rained, and i was welcome at any summer party as I brought the mosquito fogger

Parents still have it if you are interested.

Wow, no thanks. I like her without carbon monoxide poisoning.

Hellz no. That one (if it existed) would not be allowed near sharp objects, let alone cars.
