Finger tip flip. Nythe! I start out trips clutching with just 2, but at the end of 3-400 miles I am using my whole hand and arm like a hook...Got to find some exercise to strenghten my wrists...Hmmm.

Damn, that sucks! Glad he's okay. At least he can save some money while in Korea these last 5 months and spend it on fixing the bike, or getting a new one when he returns.

Hey all... yeah... I'm a royal douche bag... fluck'n looped a 600...
As NtS said... I was leaving the light and got on it a bit aggressively... but only had the tips of my index and middle fingers on the clutch... and it slipped... causing me to roll into the throttle more... I got a good view of the sky... then was on my side... got up thinking... wow... I looked like a royal ass. Got up and noticed liquid everywhere.... first thought was fuel... nope... OIL... fuck'n case cover broke... frame sliders did their job and protected everything else... but they bent themselves. not sure what happened to my ankle... thought at first the peg landed on it... and it was broken... but I could move it up and down and put a little weight on it so I said no to the Ambulance and the ER... and went and rented a truck... a Really nice guy stopped and moved my bike out of the intersection then off to the side of the road. and then drove me down to get a rental... he said he used to ride sport bikes and now has a custom... gave him a card... hope he joins up... I can't for the life of me remember his name... I feel like a fuck'n douche (i'm fuck'n HORRIBLE with names) $850 later... I was in a budget rental van going back to load up my bike. I drove up to Kenosha and stopped for some food... when I got out... I literally fell out of the truck... my lower leg hurt so fucking bad. so I limped in and got my food... called Tricare (my military insurance co) and asked the lady at the register where the nearest ER was... (thought it was a little odd that she gave me PERFECT turn by turn directions... but an impressive oddity) went into the ER... there was a gorgeous woman at the front named stephanie... talked to her for a bit... then actually told her why I was limping in like a damn war vet... the ER was packed so it took a LONG ass time to get in... and even longer for the x-rays to come back. Severe sprain... but he couldn't see a break. though he said I need to go get it checked out in a couple days as he couldn't see clearly with all the swelling. I got out of the ER at like 930 or so.... and stopped for the night at 2... at that point I'd been up for 20 hrs... and with the pain... couldn't go further... pulled into a rest stop slept for a bit (3 or 4 hrs) then drove to my parents in Fargo. ok... I'll shut up now... and attach a pic look closely at the case cover... it's cracked in like 10 places... and has a hole big enough to stick a couple fingers through.... I'll get better pics when I get the bike unloaded Last edited by Mr Lefty; 09-19-2008 at 10:37 AM.. |

bike doesn't look too bad from that pic, you can find a case cover on ebay for pretty cheap
