for a first timer, I wouldnt even endorse a 600 ANYTHING. my 87 despite being a little down on power, feels strong enough to EASILY put one on their ass without trying. start small or not at all if you want to learn SAFELY how to ride.

I feel so funny on this board now....when I started on the other board, I felt like a lone voice in the forest....

Now so many of you have years and miles under your belts... and the experience and wisdom that goes with it.

Ya'll make me proud. ('Cept for some of the wierd sexual group stuff a few of you folks are into....):bump::sandyvag:

What can I say? we've spent some time in the saddle and learned a few things over the course of a few thousand miles or more and maybe a crash or two...

wisdom only comes from experience. I believe someone once said that to be old(er) and wise, you must first be young and dumb to gain that wisdom and age.

There's a downgrade. Smaller fairing, uncomfortable seat, less mass, fuel injection, no centerstand, yuck.

I have to agree. your CBR 1000 was built for long distance comfort AND performance. looking at the stats, its only like half a second off from an 05 or so 1000RR in the 1/4 mile, but WAY more comforting for those longer rides. I'll take the 1000F over any newer 1000 any day.

YEar well; I like to support good sites when I see one, have a few sites myself and love it when ppl support it Just was a little slow at finding out how dead it was, and that this was the one I should support instead

I know you all say 600, but what about this one:
750 SS Supersport (1994)

I got a very good price on it.. And I think it is a VERY beatifull bike

And thank you all for the answers, damn many
