Keep in mind who would be voting for this legislation.
The generation in power are the college students of the 60's. These folks are most likely to STILL be smoking pot (regardless of claims of "I didn't inhale.").

I don't drink & ride either but I think that we are in the minority. Ever notice if a bike night isn't at a bar it doesn't last very long?
I've ridden after smoking. |

He didn't say "legalize". He said decriminalize it. Cheaper fines or something along those lines. Weed is too far gone from the government's reach to start selling/taxing it. I guess some people would bite and buy it, but others would just grow/buy cheaper (not necessarily less potent) weed with a bit more freedom.

As far as riding or driving while 'enhanced', I'd say no... Anything that hurts your ability to react quickly and decisively to hazards in and around your path is not a good idea. I won't make pious claims that I've never done it, but I'll admit that I'm lucky enough to have avoided the potential consequences of my past bad decisions. Now, at home or when I don't need to drive, sure... spark that bitch up.

When I use to smoke (like a chimney) before I joined the AF, no matter what, I always drove the speed limit even if I didn't check to see what it was or the limit changed. I always found myself driving the exact limit. But mix booze with, forget it.

You're not alone. It actually can make you more attentive.
It certainly doesn't have the double-whammy of alcohol, which not only impairs you, but emboldens you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3zou4F00Ic

Any of you guys smoked a whole spliff by yourself? That shit gets you WAY higher. Props to that guy. I smoked one on my way to my buddy's house before and I get there, walk into his room and within seconds he's like "You're high as fuck right now." Of course my huge grin gave it away. So we smoked more and played Gran Tourismo 2.

For us its like... Rip it up and drag some knees all the way to the burning spot... then a nice, relaxed, leisurely ride home
