Most of it looks exactly the same. I'd rather just see a good pic taken with a good camera uneditted instead of photoshopping a bad pic to try and make it look better.

I tend to agree, because it tends to be over done. Most people just push it too hard. When it's done right the results end up being very much like you'd see in real life, because it's just expanding the dynamic range and detail.

A few years ago the fad was over sharpening. Now I'm seeing a lot of IR photography and HDR.

Yeah, the one you posted of NYC was good. Very subtle changes to make it pop. Didn't have the artsy drawing feel too it.

not to my knowledge, although hawaii might be nice right now, home prices kinda suck though...

Not sure... either you would get along famously, or you would want to kill each other. Being as he's not much for forums, I'd say probably not.

Thats how HDR should look. Super realistic. Everything exposed properly. Not like a cartoon.
