Oh I didn't say it was totally incapable of it.
I'd say please don't do it since if it happens enough the FCC will crack down on over-air communications for everyone.

I don't know what will happen with it, I was just responding to you saying you couldn't do much with it. As it sits it can listen to and transmit over pretty much any frequency including public safety ones. Not that he would be dumb enough to do that.

This one holds a great deal of sentimental value but you can find other TS440's out there for around that (a bit more if it has the AT like this one).
made in 1988 I just found a 10 meter antenna project that fits inside a coke bottle. I think I know what I'll be doing as soon as I can get to the local Radio Shack
