I dont think eastern d-backs are as far west as texas or Missouri for starters, but would need to check their range. I do know there have been reports of 10 footers out there as well as some in captivity.

While I'm not a "pet snake guy", I will not run snakes off my property. They eat mice, rats and other vermin. 99.9% of the time, they'll stay out of your way.

Bats are another great animal. They eat tons of insects. Luckily we have plenty of old barns in my neighborhood so we have lots of bats and not too many insects

Me too! Just found one in front of my sub woofer in the living room this morning. Fortunately the cat got to it but when it was alive it was freakin' HUGE... no problem for the vacuum cleaner.

I've learned to co-exist with them I think. There is no fighting it.

Hell to the no, man... I am constantly expanding my anti-roach arsenal. Fuggers must die. And then be flushed down the toilet.

I hate roaches. I will hunt them with every tool and ounce of cunning available, and their brothers shall know me by the trail of their dead. Damn you, roaches.

Internet hi-five, dude. Tracy was even kind enough to go around the house yesterday and plug up some places where they might be coming in with expanding insulation foam.. hopefully that'll cull the numbers a bit, but then there's still the attic...

This thread is a great reminder of one of the few great things about living on the third floor apartment. No snakes or roaches. *knocks on wood*

You will find this funny, several years back my dad and I went to clean out my grandmothers appt. She had developed alzhiemers and was in a nursing home so the appt was unkept for some time so the roaches went nuts. I dropped a bunch of fine china bowls when I took them out of the cabinet and about 20 roaches ran up my arms.
