Trip, I have a book suggestion for you I think you'll like. It's a bit more mature and definitely not girly like the Hunger Games became.
It's called The Alien Chronicles by Lucasfilm. It's also a trilogy and a damn good one at that.

I looked at some of the early released pictures from it and got worried that I was reading some Twilight shit

It didnt turn out too bad though.

I mentioned them? Must of been about the movie, cause I hadn't read them til this week.
