I added a pair of Joe Rocket Ballistic textile pants to my arsenal. I like them...very warm. Nice for this time of year.

[QUOTE=neebelung;426]So now that we know what we all pine for, what do you already have? What items do you love, and which ones do you regret buying?
Jacket - Leather: Teknic Armored Jacket - Textile: Olympia Armored Jacket - Mesh: Pants - Leather: Pants - Textile: Tourmaster Vantage w/ zip out insulated liner armored in knees and hips Pants - Mesh: Pants - Denim/Kevlar: three pair Sliders kevlar jeans Helmet: one yellow HJC CL-12 , one green HJC CL-14 Gloves - Leather: Olympia Terminator & ICON Super Duty Gloves - Mesh: Gloves - Weather/Winter: Olympia Gore-Tex all weather & a pair of leather cheapo's Boots:8" all leather lace up work boots & Alpine Star S-MX5 One-piece suit - Leather: Two-piece suit - Leather: One-piece suit - Touring/Textile: Two-piece suit - Touring/Textile: Armour (i.e. Icon, Bohn, Alpinestars): I got a killer deal on my Teknic jacket, I really like that and the Olympia is very comfortable for warmer weather. For cold weather I wear the liner out of the Olmpia jacket with the linered Teknic jacket. Both the Terminators and super dutys are comfortable but I'd pick the terminators first. The Tourmaster insulated pants are very comfortable and easy to put on even over my big feet ( with my riding boots 11-1/2 EEEE ) The only thing so far which wasn't money well spent was my cheapo leather thinsulate gloves. They're good to 40* but were also only $20 so no big loss. Jeff Last edited by '73 H1 Triple; 11-07-2008 at 10:06 PM.. Reason: bought diffferent Alpine Stars today |

I stopped at Blackman Cycle today and they were running a sale on all in stock merchandise, anywhere from 10%-50% off.
They had about 15 pair of Alpine Star boots in the 50% off area and one pair in my size. I purchased $109.95 Ridge for $54.98 Jeff |

Finally got a chance to wear the Ridge boots today when I rode to work. The short boot ( 8" )pressed against my shin and was extremely uncomfortable. I took them back to Blackmans and upgraded to AlpineStar S-MX5 for an additional $47 These come up higher and are more plyable. Jeff |

My gear's old for various reasons:
Jacket - Leather: Teknic Chicane (from 2000) Jacket - Mesh: Fieldsheer Mach 4 Helmet: Shoei RF800 Gloves - Leather: Teknic... somethings. Lightweight, good feel. Icon... something elses. A little thicker, decent padding, shit construction. Boots: Icon Superduty. Falling apart, more garbage (never again with Icon) Ended up tossing my RX7RR Colin Edwards rep when the trim pieces fell off, and gave my Icon Mainframe away because I hated it. Also gave away some Icon TiMax gloves to my friend because I wasn't too thrilled with them, just lost my bike, and he had absolutely no gear except a helmet. Next bike gets a mandatory upgrade in my gear. |

ya know, if the trim fell off, you could have sent it to Arai, and they would have fixed it for you, free of charge.

Ok, maybe I could have asked for the helmet to not be $600. Half that woulda been nice. |
