If someone breaks in to steal something, I'm with you in that is why I have insurance. I'm just saying, his scenario is flawed. Hollywood has painted a bad picture of how a home invasion happens...

I live in a 2000 sq ft ranch. I'm already at a disadvantage when it comes to finding a place to retreat. I would have very little if any time, if someone were to break in. My bedroom window is about 6 feet off the ground whereas my kitchen window is about 2 feet off the front porch. If you have a guy that's good and knows how to get in a home without noise, then he could be in my room in a matter of seconds and I wouldn't have a chance to get the shotty from the closet or the Glock in the night stand. I just hope that I get the jackass thats kicking the door in or throwing a rock. So I have a few seconds to gather myself.
I just hope that it never happens, and I can talk about what ifs |

I must agree with AMJ on this one. I hear that sound and I am on the deck. Course 8.5 years in the army and 5 years on a private corp. security force with specialized training will do that to you.

My dog makes a lot of noise, but I doubt he's gonna bite anyone. I dont need him to though. I just need him to make me aware of whats going on.
