Default ShiZZy tour guides..

It drives me bananas when people come down here to ride, and the busy body weekend riders jump in to show them the "good" roads.

We have one run down here that brings you to our most famous tourist trap, Peggy's Cove. It's a decent run, but the road is full of tourists and absolutely covered in gravel and dirt. And without fail, ever single time somebody comes on our local board, the same people meet them downtown and take them on that same shitty run.

There are hundreds if not thousands of kms of twisties around here and you show them the busiest roads we have?

When they showed the last group of guys who came down that run, my buddy and I did my favourite run for the first time of the year. The road is perfect, the twisties are plentiful and we met maybe a dozen cars in the entire hour or so it took us to do that one leg of the run.

Should I maybe organize some local rides and show these people the real good roads? Or should I keep them to myself?? <--- thinking this is the smartest move.

Keep them to yourself for the most part, but share them with the type of riders you wouldn't mind seeing out there.

I'd show them to some folks. I enjoy showing people good roads.
besides if they're out of towners it's not like they'll be there every weekend.

It isn't the tourists that are the issue. It's the locals that come with them. Be careful who you tell secrets to.... that's all.

If you want to keep em nice and perfect. Then keep it to your self. Show only good friends.

Keep 'em to yourself. You drive up rider volume and the next thing you know you get some squids in there who end up wrecking from going too hot into a corner and then your prime riding spots become prime police spots (not that you should be breaking any laws etc etc, disclaimer here) and/or your weekend decompression ride turns into an exercise in trying not to get killed by some dipshit turning the roads into their own personal MotoGP track...
