I think its a clip, but it might be a rivet. If you want I can open the box and look. I don't even know where the chain came from, Ive never owned a bike that uses a 525 chain, I'm cleaning out my shop trying to get ready to move, and it was hidden under a brand new clutch for a car I havent owned in 4 years, which I also have no clue where the clutch came from.
