I saw the hit with his head down then see his whole body straighten out, that was it right there. At least they took him to hackensack hospital, thats a damn good facility there, so hes in very capable hands.

He's pretty fucked either way, any chance of pro ball is out the window, he lost his scholarship (although the school will prolly let him finish for free), and there is a decent chance he will be limited with his physical abilities, if he ever is able to move again.

Where did it say he lost his ride? Not sure he had a chance at the pros, he was a backup D-tackle and special teams player. hes got a tough road ahead of him depending on how severe this all winds up being. There are plenty of support groups that help guys in these situations and the school will def help him out.

That was prety strange, usualy the guy just goes limp and hits the floor, seems like all his extensor muscles fired and he straightened right out.

Just looking at crosstalk on FB with folks that know him. Some of my brothers friends do part time work with the rutgers football team, and thats all I've seen on facebook since yesterday.

Most of the talk surrounds his scholarship elegibility (needs to be able to be maintained on the roster) because he wont be able to play and that he was expecting to play in the minors after he graduated
