08 600RR Mods
Hey guys, I have done some searching and can't seem to find any aftermarket REAR seats for the 600RR. My wife HATES the rear "seat". Corbin only makes the front seat at this time. Also, anyone seen a decent fender eliminator for the RR that uses a different taillight setup? Thanks

a passenger seat is not going to be comfy any way you put it. look into a honda 1800tr (aka goldwing) for maximum passenger comfort... maybe you could put one of those seats on the back of your RR.
for serious though, you could look into haveing it re-upholstered , and try cutting your own gel/foam pad to be stitched underneath it. I dont know why they even bother putting passenger seats on todays newest race replicas, as they are getting more and more performance oriented for the track. You are dumbass, if you want to know about this bike just give me a call loser. I can tell you about pretty much any mod done to this generation.
As for rear seat, tell her to live with it. It's a sportbike not a wussy sport tourer like your old kan-o-tuna. Best you can hope for is to take the padding off and get something else more comfortable/shave to your standards and recover it yourself. I added my old write up for the 03-06 light to this forum http://www.twowheelfix.com/showthread.php?t=1793

if you feel like a DIY project, you can recover it yourself, but be warned, it will look rather odd when you make it "fluffy" for comfort, cuz thats what its going to take.
I redid the rider seat on my 03 RR and it looked funny as hell, i caught flack from the guys for the "poofy" look, but at the end of a long day of riding, my ass didnt hurt!! If you go that route, PM me and I'll let ya know what I did... |
