Default Safety Helmet Assessment and Rating Programme

SHARP

http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/

Think your badass $800 helmet is so much better than everyone else's... Turns out, some of the are crap and some of the cheapos are actually quite good...

Example:
$112 helmet - http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/lazer-lz6

$792 helmet - http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/bell-m5x-carbon

Obviously venting, fitment, weight, bells & whistles notwithstanding, it's pretty clear that you don't always get what you pay for in terms of helmet safety.

Handle every stressful situation like a DOG: If you can't eat it or hump it, pi$$ on it & walk away.
