Yeah, I noticed the same kind of thing when I went to Harris Hill in my car last weekend. It's a lot easier to brake late and brake hard in a car than it is in a bike.. a lot more room for error, as it were, because you have 4 contact patches and you can't, well, fall over. Sure, a 1098 would spank a car in the straight because of sheer power-to-weight ratio, but an experienced driver behind the wheel of a car would own the bike in the corners.

In this widely distributed track vid, a 999 takes closely, a Lamborghini Gallardo.

It really doesn't matter how many times they try that, the car is almost always going to win.

I've driven a friend's GT-R, and it was really, really badass! I'm sure I'd go faster just about everywhere in one than I would on a sportbike.

I would've delayed the segment until the track was completely dry. There was definitely some wet/slick parts on it that would have me leary of going 100%. But that rider knew what the fuck was up. I just think the car got an edge because of the damp track. You can't brake as hard, and you can't accelerate as hard under those conditions. I know I wouldn't, but I'm also not nearly as fast and experienced as that rider.

I know which I would rather have in my garage! The GTR cause I could sell it and buy 5 bikes!

Bite me. I didn't see YOU at the track on Saturday... oh wait, that's right, you only have bikes.
