Default Summer '08 Trip

Since Tracy (G-Rex) STILL has not posted his installments from our road trip last year... and I originally posted mine on CycleForums, I figured I would share it with TWF folks.

We road tripped two up on his Busa approx 5500 miles from Oklahoma City to Seattle and back again. We visited some cool places like Meteor Crater, Las Vegas, Los Angeles (inlcuding the Rock Store), Placerville, San Francisco, Seattle, Wendover (Bonneville Salt Flats), and canyons in Utah. It was my first cross-country trip on a motorcycle, and I hope to someday be able to do it on my own bike (but sure as shit not on the Ducati).

IF you feel like reading my ride report, you can find it on my Livejournal:

Day 0.
Day 1.
Day 2.
Day 3.
Days 4-7.
Days 8-13.

Otherwise, feel free to look at pics here: http://archren.photoshop.com

I have a bunch of photo albums there.. but the one you're looking for is the one for the 2008 West Coast Trip.

I'd link pics directly, but that will have to wait until tomorrow when I'm in OKC, since Photoshop Express won't work on these government computers.

But yeah, all that said, I definitely got bit with the touring bug.. one of these days I intend on doing it again.

AWESOME!!

I'm totally chomping the bit to do some over the road riding myself...I spent the winter buying up kit....and now, all I need is some decent Spring weather and the time off.

I've got a few week-end trips planned...but am daydreaming about striking out to Colorado...and into Utah....have my heart SET on it.

Thanks for the fun read and the wicked cool pics!
