I dunno. Maybe something in a subcompact for carry duties if I ever get so inclined, but that's after I finish building the AR.

Thanks. It shot very nice at the range. The trigger spring is alot ligher than my XDm, so it will take a little getting used to. It does feel like it's a smoother pull than my XDm though, and I like that, along with the weight. So far, I'm very pleased with the gun. The only thing I'm not pleased with is the cost of .45 ammo. LOL

Anyone here have a supressor?

If so...is it registered to YOU or to a "trust"?

I own 2 suppressors both are registered to me, not a trust. The trust option here in New Hampshire is usually used if the CLEO is opposed to signing off on the form 4.
Can I ask what you are thinking of using a can for? Caliber wise I mean.

Thinking mainly about .22

I've got a M&P 15-22 that's just screaming for one

Any folks w/ .50 Cal long guns out there???

Looking at doing some long range shooting, but don't really wish to pay the premium price for .338 Lapua/408/6.5mm, etc --- but also looking for something much better than your standard 308.

300 Win Mag, maybe?
50 BMG is still pretty pricey if you're buying anything other than surplus ball ammo and the buy-in on most decent 50 cal rifles is steep.

The 300 win mag isn't quite what i'm looking for.

The buy-in for any of these higher-end rifles w/ the big powder behind them is all quite expensive.

I'm also thinking about getting into reloading to help offset the cost of rounds.... I view what I'm looking at as having some "common characteristics" with ammunition. I have something that is 5.56, and 7.62 -- hence why I was thinking .50 BMG because it's considered "common" and if say, i dunno, there was a zombie apocalypse the rounds would be easier to come by than some off-the-wall ammo.

and as for buy-in. I know this isn't going to be a cheap investment....

Well, it's your wallet man
Dad has one of the single shot Barretts (Model 99, I believe) and it's a frickin' grin factory to touch off a round or two.

Yeah I've been doing and more thinking.. the 50 would be A) fun as hell and B) significantly more cost friendly per-round than the 338.....

But that being said... I couldn't help but see these today and the drool factory started flowing....

.... The 50 BMG is on the right.

I've considered reloading as well now that I own a 9mm, .45, and an AR.

I've come to the realization that you won't save money reloading. You'll just shoot more.

I'm still researching it. Pretty steep price of admission to start, but hey, it won't take very many boxes of .45 rounds to pay for it. LOL
