nice helmet tig, give us a review when you get it out on the road...
Oh I've had it for a few weeks now. I've about 700 miles on it and I have to say that I like it for the most part. My only complaint is with the shield changing system. I'll be glad to get photochromatic shield. It's not a Scorpion that's for sure! Other than that it's comfortabe and smaller than alot of other brands shell-wise. The noise levels aren't too bad considering there's 6 vents which work quite well. The LEDs are cool and the front one is super bright. The rear lights high light the faces in the back.

BTW I also bought the Sparx helmet as well. If anyone in interested I can send some pics. Decent lid for under $100.

So you like the Akuma better then the HJC carbon fiber? I've had the HJC carbon fiber helmet for about 2 years now. I absolutly love it. I just got an Arai Hayes replica and that's amazing. They both vent great and are super light.

I picked up an Akuma at a local dealership and was shocked at how heavy it was in comparison.

Pick up a Suomy... those are some of the lightest out there.

Actually the HJC AC-12 carbon fiber is the lightest helmet on the market (as of 2007). It weighed a few grams less then the Arai RX7 Corsair.

Both of those are even lighter then a Sumoy. Plus Suomy is having financial issues right now and not even honoring warranties.
