My GF's Dad just went to the Philippines to pick up his new wife... I think that it's crazy but he seems to be happy with his decision... I'd consider something like this just because I was married to a foreigner before and found it very interesting.

We know a few guys here that have done that. They're very happy with what they now have... creepy.

Haha. I was in Chicago for business and met up with my cousin who lives up there. We went out to eat and our waitress was a smokin hot little number from the Ukraine. She had a HUGE rock on her hand. I asked her what brought her to the US and her response was, "um, life circumstances." She walked away and my cousin and I looked at each other and both said, "mail order bride." Still not sure why she was working with a ring of that size, but maybe the guy spent all his money buying her and buying the ring for her.

I know several guys that have gone this route. They are very happy with their choice and highly reccommend going this route. One dude keeps magazines at his desk to show you "options."

American women have done a lot to prove that they're equal to men. That they even don't need men. It should come as no surprise that some American men are going overseas to seek women with more traditional family values, and goals.

There are still countries where raising a family is more important to women than breaking the glass ceiling at some Fortune 500. I personally think true happiness for women lies in a fair compromise somewhere in-between, but I can understand both sides.

That is part of it, but there is a lot more to it than just Type A personalities I think. A significant portion of American women seem to have unreasonable expectations about what they will "settle for" in a mate. Plenty of them want to do absolutely nothing. While busy doing that nothing they expect a guy to make a bunch of money, look like Brad Pitt, take them out all the time (doing nothing gets monotonous), make significant contributions to "managing the home", and generally revolve his life around keeping that woman in the "lifestyle to which she is accustomed". It isn't something I would ever do, but I can understand why it would be an attractive option for some guys.

OR they got tired of supporting his jobless ass after so many years and putting up with his bullshit lying and paying off his credit cards. That maybe they wanted to stay at home with the kids and be a mom but just never could.

So it could be that too.
