He had a concussion and was puking everywhere. Still to this day he doesn't remember the accident happening, he can only remember about to ten seconds before the accident.
Yep, he didn't "black out" before the crash, but he'll probably never remember it either. Pretty typical after any traumatic crash or a night of hogging after drinking too much.
