NICE!
That was a great launch. Is that a spec class? And how many cars were on that grid? It looked HUGE!

NSX is nearly gone and a guy on the turbo boards is offering up a running, driving dart sport cloned into a joe dirt looking 72 demon. 3K, stick. SERIOUSLY tempted. Ive always wanted a demon and with what id do to it it would be better for me to have a clone

Hell yes. Late 60's-early 70's Mopars kick ass.

Skipped on the demon, too much money for all the body work it would need. Having a ton of fun with the FWD anyway :P
Converting to a 92 style rear end. negligible weight gain (grams) and it might up aero since it sticks out a little more. looks better in my opinion and thats the important thing :P Also got my plenum material and a cnc'ed tb plate for the big intake. finished product will be close to double engine displacement which will breathe like woah up top. waiting on some weld in bungs for the vacuum fittings and then my fabricator buddy is going to weld it up then we'll get her powdercoated and paint "bad mother fucker" on it :P Also plunked down money for a seriously ported big valve head, same guy is going to hog out my intake manifold lower...AND I have a PnP 60mm throttle on the way for the bad mofo intake Also need to hit the junkyard soon for a one piece gasket-TBI valve cover which i'll likely strip, polish, and send out for custom etching fun times Oh, P.S. Its up to 20 psi now, stock turbo is tapped out but she rolls on the highway. lol. Period correct old school Apexi-AVC-r ROCKS!

Yeouch! That wall is right there!
Did you hit the wall? It through the first 10 minutes, it seemd like you dropped your wheel in the dirt an awful lot but the orange car was doing it too so I figured it was ok. What happened at 6:35?

Yeah
Damage wasn't too bad--broken tie rod and a busted steering rack. Had to get all the tires re-mounted and balanced, but the wheels were straight. But damn, it looks like shit now! 6:35 I tried to psych him out under braking and totally fugged up I had 4 people breathing down my neck, tires started going off pretty quickly, and I let the pressure get to me. This is why we race cheap cars. |
