to make things even better (and in honor of yang's intent to "steal" sharon) i was poking around on some bittorrent sites and found an album released by this thing. and while she didnt cover any sharon songs she DID cover angel voice, one of basara's songs from macross: dynamite 7.

aha, i thought. someone over there also saw the similarities and has a sense of humor about it

Wow, not being a concert goer or particularly up to date with what's being done with hologram technology, I didn't realize how close to sci-fi we've actually gotten.

As for Miku-chan, I guess that's just the ultimate in honesty, isn't it?
We've been manufacturing formulaic pop talent out of humans for so long, going fully synthetic is the next logical step.
Also, it's more proof that Japanese people will cheer for anything as long as you make it young, cute, and dress it up in a schoolgirl outfit.
