i am undecided on what to do

my choices are either, buy a cheap car to drive about with the intent of fixing the wrx up over time

riding the bike until the car is fixed aka saving money like a mad man

selling the shell, cutting my losses and chocking this up to a life lesson learned

i have about 4k in the bank that i have been saving up for trips and an emergencies, this i deem an emergency

Fuck that car man. Why not just put a stock engine in it. It damn sure wouldn't cost you 6.5k.

i didnt say all of them just a bunch. Example: a hurricane with f3 carbs, a teeny tiny turbo, modern suspension, rubber, and controls might get to 4k depending on my costs on fabrication for manifolds and the exhaust. Would also be a ton of fun.

This was exactly what I thought before I saw your post. Regardless of if your mom bitches you still live in her house and I am sure she is only bitching about it because 1) it is an unsafe hobby and 2) she cares enough to worry.

Im almost 30 and my mom still freaks if I mention my riding, track days or playing with my 4 wheeler.
