They are taking the mock shuttle cabin from the houston space exhibit, and giving 'us' 2 seats from the shuttle

Trip if the cape is #1 for the space program, which city is#2?

F NY. They think they own everything.
NY is getting the one that's at the Smithsonian now (the Enterprise, if I remember right).

I thought the Smithsonian currently has Enterprise which was a test model (glider) that was never actually outfitted for orbital work? And that's the one that is slated to move to Intrepid...

Edit: Damn, Anthony's post above beat me to it

For the shuttle program there are a lot of #2's. Honestly with Stennis and Michaud right near it and it actually being a decent tourist destination, New Orleans should get it before Houston.

No, Houston is a big shitty city that was only good for shipping the losers out of the NOLA after Katrina. That's what they deserve, more undesirables from our other cities, not space shuttles.

Yeah, enterprise flew in atmosphere. Nothing mock about it. Fun fact: in the late eighties when my old man found out it was at dulles he packed us all in the car and drove down to try and see it. Found the airport manager's office and played on his status as an army officer to get us a private viewing of the thing. It was parked off in some forgotten corner of the airport next to a few other decaying hulks and wouldn't you know it? My toddling ass ran up and kicked it.

True story

That was the day I discovered you can get away with anything if you act like you belong there

They've got one in Huntsville, AL fer Christsake. Send it to a big city, that doesn't have ties to the industry, to try and create some excitement about space exploration again.
