Of course now that I have a lighter courseload and have the time to ride, I don't have medical coverage.

the school doesnt offer health ins?

I thought most schools offer HI to full time students. Perhaps she is part time?

I think it offers crap insurance. I have to look and compare some plans. I think its a lot cheaper here to get coverage then it is in NYC. At this point, all I really need is something to cover emergency room visits as regular doc visits I can pay out of pocket for the occasional ailment.

I have heard that if and when I do start the nursing program they do require medical coverage though, so if I decide to go without, it would only be for a few months. Which of course is when its the best time to ride here.

I have insurance...Havent ever Not had it while Riding...But I have discussed this with a few of my riding buddies who dont have health insurance...Its like your MC liscense...I rode without mine for about a year...Got fucked over on my own stupidity and got caught...and now I ride legally no matter what.

But as far as if I didnt have it...Yeah I'd probably still ride.

I rode for about a year without it, but it never occured to me at the time that it would matter.

Let's just say from my experience....broken femurs are expensive to fix and as of right now, HI has paid for all of it except my deductible.

I haven't had health insurance for 5 years I think. I have it through my auto/mc insurance.

Yes and yes.

Ive been riding for 9 years, and about 7 of them were without insurance. I finally have a good job with actual benefits so I have insurance now but from the time I was off my parents insurance until recently I didnt have any.

That's one of the reasons I stayed in, so I wouldn't have this question.
